ah, so long tail is getting real traction - professors trying to disprove it. once weaned off blockbuster and hit mindset which still dominates, the head will be regrouping, changing and more like spikes rather than obvious ‘head’ of a curve.

this doesn’t feel right - i don’t mean reduction in pay but the whole way of going about evaluating web traffic. gawker is ‘traditional’ media online, not a new publishing model. And they know it.
-
treating internet as a medium again, another reason why surveys suck.

should be interesting

this is a big issue indeed and it will be until my data is mine and i have recourse against those I share it with (not just legal)

this is what the Mine! is about - to give me a bit of my own space in the cloud, without ceasing to be a part of it.

expected this. rewards for being yourself and stop having different persona are greater than ability to present different aspects to different audiences. this only works if you are in charge of your own privacy though and we are not there yet.
-
not bad. interesting how people will look at everything and anything before they look at the individual and how the web changes the balance of power and contributes to his autonomy. oh well.

Earlier this week I did two sessions (workshops only in the name as there was a stage and audience) at Online Marketing & Media08 show at Business Design Center in London. Here are a few slides that I used to introduce the workshop before I went into a more practical demonstration of the tools themselves.

sounds evil to me. advertising die, die, die.

agree with a few things, disagree overall. sounds like a SINK panel what with agency people playing social media experts.
